Great White Shark Cage Diving at Guadalupe Island

Cage Diving Adventures at Guadalupe Island

Shark cage divers from all over the globe have been coming to Guadalupe Island to cage dive with Great White Sharks aboard America’s Shark Boat out of San Diego, Ca since 2000.

Our shark divers come here for 100 foot visibility, GIANT Great Whites, and all but guaranteed shark encounters, both certified divers and non-divers can participate in Great White Shark diving at Guadalupe Island. From the safety of a cage you can enjoy some of the world’s best encounters with these awesome apex predators.

There are only a few spots of earth where you can encounter Great Whites in such numbers (and so closely) with amazing shark viewing visibility of 100 to 150ft (30-45m). That explains why scuba divers who love sharks come here and take photographs that become their pride and joy, reminding them of these unforgettable moments
Shark Season Aug Through November

August to November is Guadalupe Islands cage diving season. During these months average surface temperature of 66°F to 70°F (19°C to 22°C) requires cage divers to wear a provided 7mm wetsuit. These temperatures attract thermal intolerant Great White Sharks, both males and later the GIANT females, making this the best time to dive at Guadalupe.

The weather at this time transitions from hot and humid in August and September to cooler with a bit of rain in November.
